In 1873, Sven Pulson invented a grinding wheel that was much more efficient than other mechanisms of its time. Frank Norton patented his design and began manufacturing them early after that. The wheel is made of sandstone and used to hone a fine edge on any items that need to be sharp such as axes, knifes, and other types of blades. It is on display at our museum.
