Preserving
Our History

The Pequot Lakes Area Historical Society archive is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to learn more about the history of the town and its people. Located in the heart of Pequot’s downtown, our collection contains thousands of documents from bygone eras, providing a fascinating glimpse into the past.
In addition to these important documents, we also have hundreds of photographs and physical artifacts that encapture daily life in a time when cellphones and televisions were not yet a staple of modern living. The archive is sure to have something for everyone – from those who love digging into old records, to those who just like to look at old photos. It’s an exciting way to explore what life was like not too long ago!
